Chapter 8 "Gift for the Darkness"

“You’re a coward!” Jack said fiercely. Jack thinks I’m not being a fit leader, but he thinks he would be a better leader. He’s saying this because I didn’t kill that boar we saw, but I would give him props fro trying to turn the group against me. Oh! He’s also being mad because he got injured by the boar.

Well Jack said he’s leaving the group, and he said that anyone who wants to go with him. Most of the majority of the boys stayed with me. They said that “Jack wouldn’t be a good leader because he only wants to kill he doesn’t want to be rescued”.

Piggy is enjoying this moment because piggy and Jack hated each other, but I would hate piggy also because always acts like a school prefect. Simon said “Ralph I think you would be a way more appropriate leader then Jack because you’re actually trying to get us rescued”. I told Simon that he is being way too demure.

While Jack went of with his group to go hunt. Piggy was very ecstatic about jack that piggy asks if they would use his glasses to start another signal fire down at the beach. I just knew somehow piggy was trying to cheer me up. Simon has left to go to his hiding spot while everybody else is left down at the beach.

Jack and his hunters got back and told me that the hunted a pig and killed it. They told me every detail. They said they paunched the pig. They told me all sorts of demoniac things. The things they told me are taboo. They came to steal some burnt wood to light a fire for them to cook their pig. They said that everybody is welcomed to go have a feast with them, but I have a feeling that I do not trust them.
